CancerBae Classic 2026

Back your team. Support CancerBae.

Our Story 💗🏀

Founded by former professional basketball player Will Wise following his stage 4 cancer diagnosis in 2023, CancerBae CIC was created to challenge the stigma surrounding cancer and change the way we talk about living with the disease.

At the heart of that mission is a simple message: cancer is part of the story — it doesn’t have to be the whole story.

Now in its third year, the CancerBae Classic brings together some of the UK’s top U12 basketball teams for an unforgettable weekend of basketball, community and cancer awareness at Surrey Sports Park, 28–30 August 2026.

But the Classic has always been about more than basketball.

This year, 12 teams are taking on the CancerBae Fundraising Challenge, with each team challenged to raise £500 for CancerBae CIC.

Choose the team you want to support, make a donation and help them climb the fundraising leaderboard. Together, the teams are aiming to raise £6,000 to help CancerBae continue building its work through cancer awareness, education, community initiatives, events and sport.

Every donation comes directly to CancerBae CIC and helps us continue creating spaces where cancer can be talked about differently — with more openness, more community and, most importantly, more hope.

12 teams. One challenge. One community. 💗

More hope. More hoops. More awareness.

More than basketball.

Overall Fundraising Target: £6,000
